When the night locks up the light
And that I stay here, laid in the darkness
I become heavy, I get benumbed
Staring at the curtains - Staring at the curtains
There is time to wait - time to be sick
Staring at the curtains - Staring at the curtains - Staring at the curtains
Oh yes I cry Darling - Yes I cry
But the deads aren’t men my darling
Oh yes I cry
Oh yes I cry Darling - Yes I cry
Without to know that the deads aren’t men - Yes I cry
Yes I cry - Yes I cry
Staring at the curtains - Staring at the curtains - Staring at the curtains
Then they come in silence
Begot by glasses - begot by the web Some of them going through the walls Some of them clinging at the ceiling Some of them floatting
No meaning to those things
Oh they come all over me - Oh they swing all over me God why is it so cold while they keep silence ?
And why am I so far from the room ?
And why am I so far from the gloom ?
They are black over black and belong to the night Shadows of the night
Oh yes I cry Darling - Oh yes I cry
But the men aren’t deads my darling
Oh yes I cry Darling
Oh yes I cry Darling - yes I cry
Without to know that the deads aren’t men - cry
Oh yes I cry - Oh yes I cry
Staring at the curtains - Staring at the curtains - Staring at the curtains Oh yes I cry...
Absolutely outstanding work from veterans of the new wave era. Usually artists and bands just replicate their past to various degrees of success, Norma Loy innovate and at the same time deliver what is probably their absolute masterpiece caught between the darkness and the light. Jaypee
I first heard John Peel play XMAL back in '83 in the UK and I saw them live in Madrid in 1984, - have been a fan ever since. I never expected to have them on my BC ap, and so glad they're here. Hopefully the albums will appear here too - if the later record labels allow. zaclang
Situationist coldwave from France that is deliciously icy, high-drama vampire vocals colliding with icy synth & guitar. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 7, 2021
